Anodised aluminium (type Anticorodal 6060 and 6082) forms the basis of the corrosion-resistant version of the SC series, while ball-bearings,
ball-races, unions and other components are manufactured in corrosion-resistant steel (AISI 303 and 404C). With the use of these materials,
corrosion caused by moisture can be prevented or at least substantially delayed.
Use of the corrosion-resistant series is authorised in both the food processing industry and pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. In general, a
surface coating specially approved for the purpose and the use of special lubricants prevent the surroundings being dirtied by the linear units.
Thanks to an integrated relubrication system ("Maintenance-free system") for all corrosion-resistant linear units with either caged ball or spacers
(with the exception of "clean-room" applications and applications in which synthetic lubricants are prohibited), manual relubrication of the axles is
no longer necessary.
