The sliders used with this size rail include the 3 bearing "N" style slider, the 3, 4 or 5 bearing extended length "N..L", the 3, 4, 5, or 6 bearing "CSW" style sliders, and the 3 or 5 bearing "CDW" style units.
The "NTE28" or "NUE28" cast aluminum bodies have 3 precision rollers running on opposed surfaces, the adjustable center roller sets the preload for the slider. This cast aluminum body has steel inserts for mounting, lateral seals, spring energized scrapers, and a felt wick reservoir good for 2 million cycles between lubrication intervals.
The "NTE28" or "NUE28L" extended length cast aluminum bodies have 3, 4, or 5 precision rollers running on opposed surfaces, the adjustable rollers set the preload for the slider. This cast aluminum body has steel inserts for mounting, lateral seals, spring energized scrapers, and a felt wick reservoir good for 2 million cycles, self-lubricated. The "CSW28" steel body can be supplied with 3, 4, 5, or 6 precision rollers running on opposed surfaces. The steel body design allows for saddle mounting in-line with the mounting of the rails. The slider has stiff steel backed modified polyamide scrapers to protect the ends of the slider from contamination. The "CDW28" steel slider body has the engineered flexibility to use 3, 4, 5 , or 6 precision rollers running on opposed surfaces, the adjustable rollers set the preload for the slider.
The tapped mounting holes are 90 degrees from the rail mounting holes and can be accessed from the top or bottom. The steel backed modified polyamide wipers serve as very aggressive scrappers for dirt and debris.
All the precision rollers are offered with zinc shields that provide labyrinth contamination protection as well as rubber seals to further protect the internal steel ball bearings.
These sized series have been widely used throughout assembly and transfer operations, pharmaceutical, packaging, and automotive applications.
This size linear rail and bearing system is generally chosen where a long life, high capacity, low coefficient, and a very small cross-section under 1-1/8 of an inch are needed. |
