ROBOT Series
Actuatorline
The ROBOT series is particularly well-suited for heavy load applications where significant carriage pitch, yaw or roll moments are applied or for the linear conveyance of SCARA-type articulated arm robots on a transfer or other factory automation line. As a high load robust choice, the ROBOT Series is the linear actuator for the most demanding applications.
Available in four sizes from 100 to 220 mm, it has a rigid structure made by a heavy rectangular-section of extruded and anodized aluminum. The thrust force is transmitted by a steel reinforced polyurethane Belt driven. The carriage is running on two parallel linear guides with four self-lubricated "maintenance-free" caged ball bearing blocks positioned to support the carriage and all incident loads and moments. Multiple independent or idler style carriages are available to further enhance load or moment carrying capacity.
A polyurethane sealing strip guarantees a complete protection of the driving-Belt driven against dirt, chips, liquids or other contaminants.
The ROBOT series is the clear choice for heavy, high-speed, fluctuating load and moment applications in aggressive environments where repeatable, maintenance-free industrial automation is required.
Corrosion-resistant Version
With the ROBOT series, corrosion-resistant linear units are available for service in a difficult environment or which can frequently be cleaned.
The self-supporting structure of the units, of extruded anodised aluminium with square cross-section, forms the basis of four different sizes in
the series from 100 to 220 mm. Drive is through a steel-cord reinforced polyurethane timing belt, which according to choice is led over four linear
guide blocks with caged ball technology or alternatively over track rollers.
A polyurethane belt provides effective protection for the ROBOT series against dirt.
Anodised aluminium (type Anticorodal 6060 and 6082) forms the basis of the corrosion-resistant version of the ROBOT series, while ball-bearings,
ball-races, unions and other components are manufactured in corrosion-resistant steel (AISI 303 and 404C). With the use of these materials, corrosion
caused by moisture can be prevented or at least substantially delayed.
Use of the corrosion-resistant series is authorised in both the food processing industry and pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. In general, a surface
coating specially approved for the purpose and the use of special lubricants prevent the surroundings being dirtied by the linear units.
Thanks to an integrated relubrication system ("Maintenance-free system") for all corrosion-resistant linear units with either caged ball or spacers
(with the exception of "clean-room" applications and applications in which synthetic lubricants are prohibited) manual relubrication of the axles is
no longer necessary.
The ROBOT series is suitable for heavy duty applications and gantry and cantilever systems in which high torque loadings and corresponding
dynamics are the order of the day.
