Rollon inaugurates a new state-of-the-art facility to offer expanded production capacities, a new logistics centre and a large showroom – bringing production, sales and customers together in an ideal setting.
July 17, 2025. Rollon announces the opening of its new state-of-the-art facility in Düsseldorf, Germany. The milestone coincides with Rollon’s 50th anniversary and the recent inauguration of a new United States facility in Norton Shores, Michigan.
Rollon first established a presence in Germany in 1991 and has since experienced significant growth in German-speaking markets.
The new Düsseldorf facility, located at Bonner Straße 201, is very close to the previous location. The building spans a total area of 7,200 square meters, including 3,700 square meters of production space equipped with modernized machinery. This allows for greater production capacity and increased flexibility in manufacturing. The company has consolidated operations for Nadella GmbH and Rollon GmbH at this site. A core focus is the development and production of customer-specific solutions, as well as the manufacturing of linear components and telescopic rails. Rollon is introducing automated processes and advancing the use of digital systems and AI-supported applications through various pilot projects.
Communication hub for sales, customers and employees
The new facility also features a logistics center built to ensure shorter delivery times and improved product availability. The DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region remains the strongest sales market for the Rollon Group and continues to grow steadily. Approximately 130 employees currently work at the new site, with plans to expand to 170–200 in the medium term.
The site also features an auditorium, a spacious showroom and modern video-conferencing rooms – creating a communication hub for knowledge exchange with customers. New employee areas have been added as well, including a cafeteria with a rooftop terrace, a kitchen, a fitness area and creative rooms for team meetings. The building was constructed in line with the latest sustainability standards and is targeting DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) Gold certification. Implemented measures include a photovoltaic system, green roofing, heat pumps, wooden trusses, a green façade, e-charging stations, birdhouses and a sand nesting bed for insects and small animals.
Looking to the future
“The new building combines our corporate culture of open communication and shared experiences with our mission to deliver optimal performance for our customers and business partners,” says Rüdiger Knevels, CEO of Rollon. “In today’s economic environment, growth does not happen on its own. We are constantly enhancing our customer service and performance to gain market share and open up new markets. The new production facilities in Germany and the United States are key pillars in realizing our corporate vision.”
