Rollon announces the expansion of its HGT telescopic rails range with the HGT-MG version, which introduces a redesigned ball cage and magnets for synchronized movement. This advancement enhances performance and extends the service life of the rail.
November 17, 2025 — Rollon, a global leader in linear motion solutions, announces the launch of the HGT-MG telescopic rail, an extension of its HGT product range. The new version integrates a redesigned ball cage and synchronization magnets, delivering enhanced load management, smoother extension, and improved durability.
Advanced synchronization technology
The HGT-MG is available in sizes 60 and 80 and features a newly engineered ball cage with a reduced pitch and end blocks containing internal magnets. These magnets align and synchronize the elements during extension, significantly reducing the force required to open the rail. This advancement not only facilitates easier operation but also supports higher loads. In addition, the damped end stroke ensures quieter running and contributes to extended service life by minimizing mechanical stress.
“The introduction of the HGT-MG telescopic rail allows users to combine heavy load capacity with optimized handling and smooth motion,” says Andrea Tosi, VP Technology at Rollon. “It also highlights our dedication to developing solutions that not only meet technical specifications but also respond directly to operational challenges faced in industrial environments.”
Built for demanding applications
HGT telescopic rails are fully extending, heavy-duty components designed for challenging operating conditions. Their robust structure consists of a double T-shaped intermediate element and two corresponding sliders. All rails and sliders are available in steel, are zinc electroplated with thick-film passivation, and comply with REACH and RoHS standards. A stainless-steel version is also available.
Engineered to deliver strength and reliability, HGT rails are widely applied in construction and machinery sectors, as well as in automotive and rail vehicle systems. Their design supports high loads while maintaining rigidity and low deflection, offering a space-saving solution where compact dimensions are essential.
Key benefits
The HGT-MG version introduces tangible benefits that enhance both performance and reliability. With its synchronized movement system, the HGT-MG requires less force to operate while maintaining stability under heavy loads. This improvement makes the rail particularly effective in demanding contexts, where smooth handling and precision are essential.
The addition of a damped end stroke reduces noise and vibration during operation, contributing both to quieter performance and to a longer service life by lowering mechanical stress. At the same time, the robust construction of the rail helps ensure consistent rigidity with minimal deflection, even when subjected to high loads.
For applications exposed to harsh or corrosive environments, stainless steel versions and alternative surface treatments are available, extending reliability and performance to a wider range of industrial conditions.
With the launch of the HGT-MG, Rollon strengthens its portfolio of high-performance linear motion solutions, reaffirming its mission to deliver reliable, application-driven products that evolve with the requirements of modern automation.
