July 6, 2026 – Rollon, a global leader in linear motion solutions, announces the launch of the HVC-MG and H1C-MG telescopic rails. The new MG version integrates magnets that allow the sequential opening of the rail elements, delivering improved load management, smoother extension, and increased durability, even under intensive operating conditions.
Sequential Motion Control Technology
The MG version – available for sizes 54 and 68 of HVC and for size 68 of H1C – features a redesigned ball cage with reduced pitch, combined with end blocks incorporating internal magnets. The reduced pitch increases the number of balls within the same cage length, resulting in higher load capacity without changes to overall dimensions.
At the same time, the integrated magnets enable a defined motion sequence of the rail elements during extension, resulting in more controlled motion and reducing the force required to open the rail. This combination enables the handling of higher loads while helping to improve overall ergonomics. In addition, the optimized load distribution aids in reducing stress on the raceways, contributing to extended service life and more consistent long-term performance.
“After successfully introducing this technology on the HGT range, we are now extending it to additional telescopic rail families,” says Andrea Tosi, VP Technology at Rollon. “The integrated magnets enable an ideal combination of high load capacity and smooth and controlled motion. This development reflects our ongoing commitment to engineering solutions that go beyond meeting technical specifications, addressing the real operational challenges our customers face across industrial applications.”
HVC and H1C: Built for Demanding Rail Applications
HVC and H1C telescopic rails are respectively full- and over-extending solutions designed to maximize accessibility while minimizing space requirements. All rails and sliders are made of steel, feature zinc electroplating, and comply with REACH and RoHS standards. Additional surface treatments are available to enhance resistance in harsh and demanding environments, while HVC slides can also be supplied in stainless steel for superior corrosion protection.
Engineered for high rigidity and low deflection, HVC and H1C rails are used across multiple industries, including construction and industrial machinery. At the same time, their characteristics make them particularly suitable for the railway industry, where reliability and service life are critical.
Typical applications include extraction of battery compartments, and other onboard equipment that require both easy accessibility and reliable structural support.
In railway applications, components must support safe and ergonomic access for operators during maintenance while withstanding continuous exposure to shocks, vibrations, and environmental factors such as humidity and contaminants. In this context, smooth motion is not only a matter of usability but also of safety and operational efficiency.
“The MG version directly addresses these needs by improving motion control and reducing operating forces, even under heavy loads”, explains Andrea Tosi.
With the launch of the HVC-MG and H1C-MG, Rollon strengthens its portfolio of high-performance linear motion solutions, reaffirming its commitment to delivering reliable, application-driven products that evolve with the requirements of modern automation and transport systems.
Both HVC-MG and H1C-MG will be displayed for the first time at the Timken Group’s booth 560 in Hall 21 at InnoTrans, the leading trade fair for transport technology, taking place September 22–25 in Berlin, Germany.
